Paper Poms

I just made these cutesie paper poms using my 1 inch circle punch and a glue stick. I am in love! I cannot wait to incorporate them on a greeting card!

I haven't used them on a card yet, but when I do and it comes time to mail them, I can press the poms flat, stuff the envelope, and not worry that they will be messed up.  When the card is received and is taken from the envelope, they should pop back open!

Valentine

Simple Valentine created for my grandparents.

This card was very easy to make.  I got a piece of scrapbook paper and cut 6 1" squares from it.

Then I glued them down on the card leaving a little space between.

Next I tied a bow using a green and blue ribbon.  Less traditional colors for Valentine's, but I did that on purpose.

What you can't see is the ribbon is holding a folded piece of white paper in the center of the card.  This technique tends to give a rather ordinary card a little bit of depth.  It also allows you to make mistakes and/or practice writing your message.  If you mess up or realize you need to change something, the fix is simple: just exchange the piece of paper.  Instead of destroying the card and having to come up with a fix-it, you can be worry free!

New Toys

Guess who went shopping tonight!
This girl!!!

I got 2 circle punches (1" and 1.5"), a paper trimmer, and some other fun stuff!

Who's ready to make some cards?!

New Blog

This is my first time blogging.
Yes, ever.

I cannot promise I'll keep up with it, or that it will even be worth reading, but I am giving it a shot!

I decided I wanted a collaborative place to share my crafting projects with others.  So, ta-da.
